simplicity

All the garbage heaped on through the years has done a number on me. Fear this, hate that, bow here, genuflect there, sacrifice everything for others and accept all the guilt. Strips of my mind and soul left here and there and the load I carry always grows. I walk down the stairway to the beach and walk on the cool sand in the mist and see the moon. I find a place to sit and just look at the amber globe. I know that's not it's true color it's really silver. The smog and soot hide the moon's reality. What soot clouds me? all the complex demands of life pleasing everyone but me and I become an invisible man no one sees. The siren on the beach sings me tunes and clears my ears and head and eyes forcing simplicity into me and I shed my load diving into the sea I float on a sea of tranquility.
