the rain's embrace

have you ever seen a perfect rainstorm

specks of light falling at severe angles to the ground

sneaking between the flashes frozen in the sky

strobbed by the burst of lightning's kiss

vibrating to a microscopic tune

in the concussion of thunderous claps

wind plastering everything to the stationary world

me standing with you embraced

by the power of the storm
